The Opportunity:
If you’re detail‑oriented, comfortable working with tools, and take pride in precise, accurate work, this role is a strong fit. At All‑Equip/Platinum Trailers, you’ll be responsible for cutting aluminum planks to exact measurements, inspecting finished pieces, and supporting general material handling throughout the shop. This is hands‑on production work in a busy industrial environment.

Work Arrangement: 
Full‑Time, Fully On‑site, Monday to Friday, day shift depending on production needs. This is hands‑on assembly work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Compensation:
This is a hourly position paying $22-$26/hr depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including Extended Health Care, Dental, and RRSP contributions. Overtime is available for those who want it.

The Role:
As a Saw Operator, you’ll cut aluminum planks to specified measurements, inspect finished pieces for accuracy, and support material handling throughout the facility. You’ll work from drawings, use measuring tools, and follow safety procedures while keeping your work area clean and organized.

In a typical week, you’ll operate the saw, measure and cut aluminum, inspect finished parts, move materials around the shop, and support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a saw to cut aluminum planks according to provided specifications and drawings.
  • Accurately measure materials using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
  • Inspect finished pieces for accuracy, quality, and conformity to requirements.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the shop.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
  • Report equipment issues or material defects to supervisors.
  •  Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous experience operating saws, preferably for cutting aluminum or similar metals.
  • Ability to measure accurately using tape measures, calipers, and other tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings, and work orders.
  • Basic math skills for calculating dimensions.
  • Good physical stamina; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to work in a shop environment.
  •  Experience with hand tools and power tools required.
  •  Commitment to safe work practices and proper PPE use .

Education & Certifications:
  • Mechanical or technical experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with aluminum properties and handling.
  • Experience using manual and powered cutting tools.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
