Manufacturing Liaison / Production Improvement Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on manufacturing professional who has progressed through production, maintenance, millwright, fabrication, or similar roles and is ready to take the next step in their career.
This position serves as the bridge between Engineering and Production, ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable, and efficiently executed on the shop floor. The ideal candidate understands how things are actually built and enjoys working with both production teams and engineers to solve problems and improve processes.

Work Arrangement: Full-Time, Fully On-site, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, with potential for Over-Time.

Compensation:
This is a annually position paying $55,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefit package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary link between Engineering and Production teams.
  • Review engineering drawings and provide manufacturing feedback.
  • Identify production challenges and work with engineering to develop practical solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Assist in developing and documenting manufacturing processes and work instructions.
  • Coordinate implementation of engineering changes on the production floor.
  • Investigate production issues and help drive corrective actions.
  • Work directly with employees, supervisors, and engineers to improve communication and workflow.

Qualifications Required:
  • Several years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Background as a Millwright, Maintenance Technician, Production Lead, Fabricator, Mechanic, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people at all organizational levels.

Preferred:
  • Experience leading production teams or acting as a production supervisor.
  • Exposure to process improvement, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working closely with engineering departments.
  • Technical diploma, apprenticeship certification, or equivalent practical experience.

We're not necessarily looking for an engineer. We're looking for someone who has "been there and done that" on the production floor, understands the challenges faced by manufacturing teams, and can work effectively with engineers to develop practical, efficient solutions.
