The Opportunity

At All-Equip/Platinum Trailers, the Human Resource plays a key role in supporting both our employees and leadership team while helping us continue to grow.
You'll work across all aspects of Human Resource, from recruiting skilled trades and production employees to supporting performance management, policy administration, and employee engagement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on the employee experience.

Work Arrangement:
  • Full-Time, Fully On-site, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
  • This position requires regular interaction with employees, supervisors, and management within our manufacturing facility.

Compensation
This is a hourly position paying $25.00 to 35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefit package.

The Role
As the Human Resource, you’ll be responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, policy administration, and HR compliance. You’ll work closely with manager and employees to promote a positive workplace culture while ensuring HR processes are effective, consistent, and aligned with employment legislation.

In a typical week, you’ll coordinate hiring activities, assist leaders with employee matters, maintain HR records, support performance management, and help drive employee engagement initiatives throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Maintain employee files and HR records while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Administer employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Employment Standards, occupational health and safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Support training, development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports, documentation, and correspondence as required.
  • Contribute to process improvements and special HR projects.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources.
  • 1+ years of Human Resource experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Education & Certifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • CHRP designation or working toward certification is considered an asset.
  • Joint Health & Safety Committee experience is an asset.
